Roland has been a Managing Partner at Oaklins Austria since 2025 and specializes in the technology sector, focusing on SaaS-based solutions for financial services, including FinTech, WealthTech, RegTech, InsurTech, cybersecurity, and market data solutions. Furthermore, he serves as an advisor for business development and the digitalization of financial service offerings.

With more than 25 years of experience—primarily in the content and software industries—Roland possesses deep expertise in digital transformation solutions for financial institutions in the B2B environment. He has held CEO and executive leadership positions in Europe and Asia and has been responsible for numerous growth strategies and transformation initiatives. His background includes extensive experience in building and scaling software companies, particularly for SaaS-based business models, IT security, as well as AI-based business models and product offerings.

Before joining Oaklins, Roland was the CFO of the Prive Technologies Group, based in Southeast Asia. In this role, he also served as Managing Director of the group’s European subsidiaries and was a co-founder and shareholder of Prive Technologies in Europe. Prior to that, he was the CEO of one of Europe’s largest financial market data providers, where he successfully led a comprehensive restructuring and growth strategy.

Roland holds a degree in law from the University of Vienna and a certificate from MIT for business growth using AI-based business models. He is fluent in German (native speaker) and English.
